Almost Famous 4K 2000 EXTENDED Ultra HD 2160p
The story of how a simple American boy William Miller, by chance, became a correspondent for the authoritative music magazine Rolling Stone and went on a tour with the Stillwater group on the instructions of the editorial board.

In the company of harsh rockers, young female fans and surging hormones in the blood, the guy takes his first step into the adventurous adult life of the flared seventies. And, believe me, these very adventures will not keep you waiting!

Review 4K Movie

For America, the 1970s became another tectonic shift, which was equally reflected in the socio-political situation in connection with the general liberalization of consciousness and in the cultural spectrum, including the art of music. Many modern filmmakers, whose childhood or adolescence fell on this time, recall the past era with nostalgia. This is especially felt in Cameron Crowe's comedy drama Almost Famous.

Synopsis A simple American teenager from San Diego, William Miller, has always distinguished himself from his peers for his genuine talent in writing. Therefore, being passionate about rock and roll, they gained popularity as an aspiring music critic, which attracted attention from the venerable Rolling Stone magazine. Having learned about his abilities, the editorial staff of the magazine invites William to go on a tour with the famous group Stillwater, a trip with which will acquaint the young man with both the problems of fame and adult life as such.

Game of actors First of all, I would like to note the cast, which perfectly coped with the roles of versatile characters. Of course, one cannot fail to single out Patrick Fugit in the role of a modest fifteen-year-old young man, William, who at such a young age got acquainted with the cruel world of fame and popularity. I was also impressed by the performance of a very young Kate Hudson in the role of the mysterious Penny Lane, accustomed to living in the illusory world of rock musicians, where only love and fame supposedly live. Finally, mention should be made of Francis McDormand as Elaine, William's extremely caring mother.

Directing Director Cameron Crowe has made a very soulful and nostalgic movie about a bygone era and a faded genre of music that once conquered crowds of fans. In the film, he also displays a riot of morals. Especially the director shows the life and relationships of musicians of that time who sincerely loved their music, but at the same time could not cope with their emotions, which provoked serious conflicts both among the members of the composition and between the participants themselves and their loved ones. Also, Cameron Crowe touches upon the topic of growing up in the film using the example of William, who, traveling with strangers, for the first time truly learns what love, betrayal, sex, fame and much more are.

Scenario The plot develops in 1973. William Miller, a typical teenager from San Diego with a talent for journalism and writing review and critical articles, submits his notes to a little-known local magazine. By chance, his work catches the eye of the Rolling Stone editorial staff, who, without even knowing the hero's age, offer him a job as a correspondent and send him on a mission to accompany the Stillwater music group on tour. Despite the warning from his overly protective mother, William accepts the offer and sends him on a long journey, during which he gets to know the members of the line-up, first of all, his extraordinary guitarist Russell, as well as the unusual and charming "Penny Lane", following the group and Russell personally as moral support. During his stay in the company of these people, the hero gets to know the other side of the world of fame, becoming a witness of how sometimes some people use the feelings of others.

Bottom Line All in all, Almost Famous is a good enjoyable movie with its own special vibe that immerses you in the psychedelic vibe of 1970s America. At the same time, not to notice that the film lacks some kind of zest, for example, plot twists, which would further reflect the spirit of that time or the growing up of a young hero. One way or another, but the film is worth watching.
