In "The Equalizer 3" (2023), Robert McCall, who has ended his career as a secret agent, does not stop his fight for justice. Yeah, I didn't think Fuqua would end it on such a shoddy note. "It's a shame" to make an action movie with almost no action. Well, technically it is here, of course, there is - as much as 3 minutes of the 105-minute timing. Just a little bit in the beginning, a small short skirmish in the middle and a rather simple and let's say directly shameful final showdown, partially "borrowed" from "Leon". In the rest of the time Denzel Washington's character walks around the picturesque neighborhoods of Italy and drinks coffee - enjoying life, in general. And the saddest thing is that the action is shot brutally, bloody and tough, but it is so unforgettable and made without zest and fire. The first two movies had cool and spectacular scenes - the showdown in the building materials store, the ambush of the house with the stove and boiling water, the opening scene on the train and the final fight during the hurricane in the sequel. Nothing here is even close in level. The feeling that here they filmed from under a stick, and everyone just came to relax and have a good time in Italy, and there at the same time something and filmed in parallel. A lot of pathos, biblical symbolism, beautiful views (who can be surprised by this nowadays - any youtuber shoots from a drone like this nowadays), and not much action. In general, a depressing spectacle and frankly weak completion of the trilogy, inferior to the previous parts of the cycle. It was like watching a commercial for tours to Italy.
