Story Movie

During a family vacation, billionaire Largo Winch's son is kidnapped. After organizing a search, he faces serious financial problems within his corporation, and later he is arrested on charges of a murder he did not commit. The business empire created by his adoptive father Nerio begins to crumble. Having escaped from prison, Largo tries to find the connection between these events in order to find his son and confront a mysterious and dangerous adversary.

Review 4K Movie

Many fans of Largo Winch have been waiting for the release of a new movie in a franchise so unceremoniously and unfairly abandoned after the second film. And it would seem that they finally waited for it, but as usual you should not run ahead of the locomotive - there is a risk of being shot down.

Personally, my expectations from the Sisle-Franco duo were smeared by this very locomotive on the rails of the movie industry.

There are more questions for the creators than answers, and they come up every two minutes of the movie.

Usually, when continuing a franchise, the filmmakers rely on the existing foundation, but apparently the Olivier Masse-DePass team did not look for easy ways, and in general did not look for ways. It feels like they didn't even watch the first two movies for decency, but decided that it would be fun to portray 'something of their own'.

I'm sorry, but who are you to give a damn about Jerome Salle's movies? Yes, he is neither Coppola nor Scorsese, and he treated the source material quite freely too, but it was organic, beautiful and enjoyable to revisit even now.

At one time Alfonso Cuaron was very much criticized for the fact that the gloomy 'Prisoner of Azkaban' is not like the warm and fairy-tale films of Chris Columbus, but the canon laid down by the first two films was observed.

Of course, Largo Winch in its entirety is hard to match the popularity of Boy Who Survived, but to treat Inception and The Conspiracy in Burma so frivolously is unforgivable!

I would like to write a positive review, I can't turn my hand to a negative one, if only for the fact that Tomer Sisle is in place and James Franco is beautiful in any form.

So the questions that plagued me halfway through the movie:

Where is Largo's tattoo? The whole first movie was built around it!

Why did Nerio's knife change? Two movies in a row they successfully showed the same knife, and on the third the props decided to screw around.

Where were Gauthier, Simon Ovran and Ms. Pennywinkle?

Couldn't they have arranged with Miki Manojlovic to use a couple of his photos?

Why was Malunai's grave suddenly in a completely different location? At the end of the second movie it was a beautiful sun-drenched spot on a cliff, and in the third movie it suddenly appeared that her grave was among some rocks, apparently grown around for 13 years.

And what about the music? Did the theme music from the first two movies get lost somewhere along the way?

I have mixed feelings about the movie, it seems to be the same, but it's not the same! It's not Largo Winch, it's a knockoff of him.

The plot sags, the movie starts with the kidnapping of Noom, in the process the writers change their minds and try to make it look like a plot twist, but the ending kills the hell out of it, leaving a cliffhanger without even knowing if the fourth part will be put into production is the top of 'skill'! The movie seems to be a set of some tricks: a shootout, then running after each other, then another shootout, two close-ups of Tomer Sisle, two close-ups of James Franco and that's it. Even the action scenes are not as well staged as in the first two movies, except for the chase scene in Canada, but even here you want to ask: WHY? After all, there are keys to the car, why make such a mess? Apparently someone from the scriptwriters decided that it's just fun.

I would like to repeat the words of the boy from the first movie and hope that if there is a fourth movie, the mistakes will be taken into account and corrected.

“Bon voyage, Largo Winch!
