After the breakup of her relationship with her married lover, Soo-jin tries to forget the past. One day she meets Cheol-soo, a carpenter who wants to become an architect. She's attracted to him, he reciprocates, and after a while they get married. Now that Soo-jin thinks she has found the right man, she must bravely face her illness, which makes her lose her memories.

This movie was recommended and briefly described to me by a close friend, after which the desire to see the movie naturally appeared in the time of my interest. Luckily for me the girl had this movie in the director's version and I was able to watch the movie and evaluate it myself. I can safely say that this is one of the best love movies that I have ever seen in my life and perhaps the best Korean movie of the decade. The movie was a huge success not only in its home country where it became a super hit, but also all over the world, after which the Hindus made their remake and the Americans are just preparing to shoot and all this thanks to the creators of the picture, in particular thanks to the director John H Lee. Nowadays it is rare to meet a movie that would not be similar to many others. This picture managed to stand out very bright and original side, in connection with which I can personally say that nothing like this I have not seen before in any picture. The director managed to make a rare grandiose act, to combine in the picture so many elements of a good picture about love, that the movie itself during its viewing causes a whole bunch of feelings from joy and happiness, to sadness and sadness, while unambiguously and not the only number of knocking out the viewer's tears. The movie is very beautiful and touching at the same time, indicating what love can be, while bypassing melodramatic snot and raising the movie more like a story that could happen to each of us, thus inspiring to such a manifestation of feelings. The second half of the picture is magnificent, including the scenes of married life, which John endowed as well as the whole movie with some indescribable atmosphere that takes the soul to the very end of the picture and does not leave it even after viewing.

The plot is just great. I myself like romantic comedies and melodramatic love pictures, but here I was really pleasantly surprised, because I have not seen anything like what I saw on the screen before and perhaps even this movie can be put above the more famous Hollywood projects by a noticeable difference in the quality of the picture. Very beautifully shown such a beautiful and unique feeling as love, which united two very different people from different social strata, showing it so strong and powerful that even numerous obstacles could not stop it. This is exactly the kind of love we feel for our soul mates and life partners and the movie itself through this story inspires and encourages us to speak, show and love our soul mates more and more visibly than we do now. A lot of really beautiful moments. Not without humor, so kind that does not cause a full razhach but rather a positive mood and a slight smile on the face and of course a full-fledged dramatic story, which takes for the soul while knocking tears out of the viewer. Personally, the movie made a strong impression on me, from which I managed to let a couple of tears.

The performers of the main roles really tried their best. Jung Woo Sang got perhaps the most difficult role, which he coped with as me well just great. Show that love in conjunction with the suffering that he experiences looking at how his beloved suffers, not everyone can, but he managed to do it, in connection with what his game can not leave indifferent. And Ye Sung is a good girl. I can not downplay her role in the significance and complexity of the performance, but the fact that she stood out worthily against the background of his partner in the shooting and played no less magnificent way a young girl torn by Alzheimer's disease and the desire to keep the love and memories of it regarding her husband to the very end. The rest of the actors played just as superbly, and here it will be rather rude not to single out the favorite of the genius Korean director Kim Ki-duk Kwang Rok Oh, who performed a rather secondary image of the interlocutor at the train station, which by its presence expands the boundaries of the beginning of the picture and introduces some philosophical reflections into the picture in places appearing on the screen.

The music is very beautiful, and in principle traditional to Korean pictures. Very beautiful orchestral music with noticeably standing out from there gorgeous performance of music on the piano. But it is half a matter, the coolest thing is that in melodramatic and romantic moments plays exclusively Spanish and Italian ballads, not worse than the creations of Lara Fabian.

My assessment of the picture is 10 out of 10. One of the best pictures about love that I have ever seen and the best Korean movie of the decade unequivocally. A must-see ...
