Mara raises her beloved daughter alone, and her ex-husband Karim takes the little girl for weekends from time to time. One day her daughter disappears, and Mara learns that Karim has smuggled her to his homeland in Syria. After years of beating the rapids, Mara can't get her daughter back through official means. One day, she is approached by former Marine Mitch, who offers Mara a deal - she must help return kidnapped children through covert operations around the world. In return, he promises to do whatever it takes to bring her daughter home. Promising to help, Mara has no idea that she will be drawn into a dangerous and cruel game, supervised by the CIA, and the benevolent Mitch is not who he says he is.

Review 4K Movie

The movie was good. It had a nice plot, and even though some parts felt a little rushed and not fully explained, I still liked the ending, it wasn't the usual type of ending, which was refreshing. But what I didn't like was how they portrayed the Middle East, I mean, it's 2025, and they still show the region in this outdated way. Everything had this red filter, all the cars were super old, and the neighborhood they showed looked ancient. Even the market and the houses looked like they were stuck in the past. None of the cars were modern at all.

They were supposed to be showing Lebanon, but honestly it looked like Lebanon in the 70s. It's just such a bad and lazy way of showing the Middle East and Arabs. We're way past that. Honestly, it felt really stereotypical.
