I may sound tactless and straightforward, but without superfluous preambles, I will start right off the bat by saying that the trilogy about the war for Middle-earth has left an indelible mark on me, becoming the most memorable film I have ever seen.
After reviewing a huge number of films of various genres, I sometimes wonder: What film to choose from all this abundance in order to call it the best? Many pictures immediately come to mind, from the second Terminator and the Roman Gladiator to The Godfather and the Silence of the Lambs.
A big run-up isn't it ... But all these brightest rays of world cinema are banally extinguished when the greatest work of Peter Jackson rises on the horizon of memories.
I want to say right away that my review will be directed to the entire trilogy, and not to a separate film, since this film is one for me and is of great value precisely together, combining three films together.

The Lord of the Rings is a film that opened the world of fantasy for me, showed the full completeness and versatility of the genre, at the same time leaving there such a high standard of quality that very few people got to this cherished stage, and I don't really believe that someone in the future is able to move The lord of the rings with the throne of the fantasy king.

I revisited the story of young hobbits more than any other film, each time discovering a new detail for myself, looking at the simple details ... The film sparkled even more brightly when I looked at the director's cut.
Each new viewing is another declaration of love for this picture. The Lord of the Rings has already accumulated a sea of ​​such confessions, because it is a pleasure to revise the picture.
I'm not alone in this endeavor, Lord of the Rings is one of the highest grossing films of all time.

My acquaintance with Middle-earth began a long time ago ...
Plunging into childhood, I remember a thick book in red binding, beautifully designed with the familiar words The Lord Of the Rings.
The first acquaintance with the work did not leave me positive emotions, only the second time I plunged headlong into the magical world of Tolkien.

Speaking about the book, I will say that this is the rare case when the film is not inferior to the original work. What's more, Lord of the Rings is the best film adaptation of a book I've ever seen. The opinion is subjective, of course, but no less valuable.

First of all, speaking about the film, it should be noted the brilliant casting
actors ... There were both famous actors and very young ones, but they all organically fit into the work. The Lord of the Rings revealed to us such an actor as Orlando Bloom, who was previously completely unknown, but then starred in yet another trilogy. Since I moved on to the actors, I simply cannot fail to note the play of all the central characters without exception. Of course, there will not be enough time to tell about all of them, but I will still single out individuals.

First of all, this is the duet of Elijah Wood and Sean Astin, there are simply no words from their play, so many emotions and feelings, true friends and comrades, despite all the obstacles, stick together.

Sean Astin is generally great, I just amazed, I believed his character in any situations, his acting is so believable and bright. Bravo!

Elijah Wood almost the entire film had a heavy role as a fighter, a hero, one might say, but most of all I remember Frodo for his wide and kind smile, genuine joy and happiness at the end of the film.
Gollum, played by Andy Serkis, in one film immediately evokes a huge angle of emotion, from disgust to pity and sympathy, despite the fact that this former hobbit is almost entirely made on the computer.

Viggo Mortensen, Ian McKellen, Miranda Otto, Cate Blanchett ... All great.

Standard phrase: the film is interesting and exciting, but there is nowhere without it, the film takes you there, far, far away, as if you are living this whole story, being next to the heroes.

Magnificent landscapes and decorations; unlike Star Wars and other fiction, where a large number of filming took place in front of a simple blue background, and the rest was completed on a computer, here a greater number of filming was natural, since the landscapes of New Zealand allowed it.

Well, about the big battles, how can I not remember ... It's brilliance! War is shown in a very high quality, both as a huge group, and individual small battles, shown in close-up.

The American Film Academy has not spared the film ...
11 statuettes, just for the last film - a record along with the Titanic and Ben Hur, and if you add 2 Oscars for the first film and 4 for the second, the record becomes absolute. The Americans did not offend the composer either, I also really liked the soundtrack of Howard Shore, the music is ideally similar to the film.

The bottom line. This magnificent epic has become a cult icon for the cinema. The film went beyond cinema, organically merging into our lives. Now, any person associates the phrase The Lord of the Rings not only with Tolkien, but also with the creation of Peter Jackson. Huge, hard and worthy work of the director and his team.

Perhaps someday I will get bored of watching the saga about the struggle of orcs and little hobbits, when new decent works appear, and the movie will be released to another qualitatively new level, then I will take and re-read my review in order to refresh my memories and understand what it meant to me then. This movie. And I am one hundred percent sure that after reading it, I will sit down with a great desire and re-watch the whole trilogy in one gulp.
