It's a shame that after such great acting Jeffrey Falcon (Buddy) and Justin McGuire (Child) they were not invited to star in a good movie. However, in this film, they are the main characters with a capital letter! The world of Fallout, Mad Max, into which a musical plot has been screwed. You involuntarily wonder, is it possible to make such films with us? In Russia. What is needed for a post-apocalypse? Lots, LOTS of sand. The desert, it is she who makes it clear how a person can be small and lonely, take hundreds of high-rise buildings, shops, cars from him, leaving only three main criteria for real high cost - humanity, character and skills.

Great shots for those years. The protagonist's tuxedo deserves separate symbols. In 1998, trousers and jackets were looser, which means, as it may seem now, unfashionable, but throughout the film the protagonist wears this outfit very stylishly.

The operators did a great job, the battle scenes make you actively follow every move of the sword. Punching, kicking, dodging all this does not make you feel deceived, except for the scene with arrows. I would like, of course, blood, cuts, dismemberments, but this is already a spoiled viewer of a new generation, who is used to seeing all this on screens. In the same film, the cynicism of the protagonist at the initial stage touches the depths of his soul. And this is worse than the lack of realistic murder footage.

The idea, plot, costumes, soundtrack - all this is brilliant! What are the Red Elvis and communists without a single patron since 1957? English accent in minimal Russian phrases: 'KAZYOYOL!' All this amuses and makes each lens send unforgettable emotions to the brain.

But the hero of 'Buddy' - he is really nice and proudly goes to his goal.
