Often every Transformers movie or animated series has never given any content about the backstory of the Transformers, or their logical conclusion. This movie made a great start to a new universe.

The first movie shows a great backstory of the future war between the two Transformers factions. We learn who the Transformers are, we learn their origins, their ancestors, their enemies, their motivations and characters. And most importantly, the beginning of Megatron and Optimus Prime.

No movie or TV series has ever been able to show this. Usually they showed snippets of Transformers' past as the story progressed, like in Prime or Cyberverse. Here we are still trying to show a logical chain, which turned out very well and without any joints.

The only two minuses of the movie were the incomprehensible abrupt motivation of Megatron in destroying everything around him and as usual some silly childishness. Not that there's much of that here, much less than in its predecessors, but it's there. It's a pity that it's impossible to get rid of childish content, because the emphasis is always on children and selling toys later on. But if the seriousness of the next movies would be like on the level of Transformers Prime, Bay's movies or Transformers from Netflix it would be very cool. But those are just fantasies.

The Transformers designs are very cool, just beautiful. I especially liked how from regular bots with no gears they later become full Transformers, and each one changes in appearance. Showing already more such an adult and serious picture.

In fact, I want to say that the movie requires a sequel. It's off to a great start, it needs at least, I think, 3 more movies to fully reveal the universe. From the war for Cybertron to Earth, Unicron and the war with the Quintessons. Bottom line is if we don't stray from the same path of story development we'll have a better, complete universe. I'm really looking forward to it and hopefully it will be.

The most important thing is that there were not so many joints, as in Transformers from Netflix. Where logically they wanted to show a story too, but in the 'Transformers. Trilogy of War for Cybertron' began to show the consequences of a protracted war, not its beginning. They tried to show a sea of content, but absolutely unconnected and incomprehensible to the average person, except if old and a fan. But the animated series was adult, serious, interesting, but it did not show neither the beginning nor the end, although there were also prerequisites for continuation. I was very sad for that animated series, because the idea was very cool. I hope that here will not turn the same way and later everything will be laid out. We need to keep up the level.

It's not a fact that we'll see a sequel. As far as I know the movie didn't even pay for itself, if that's the case, it will end before it even starts. I hope for the best and a continuation of the universe. This particular movie gives birth to a strong desire to see a sequel. Success so far!
