Review 4K Movie

From the very first frames, the viewer is overwhelmed by a riot of colors and shades. Bright and vivid. The film's visuals are beyond praise. The animals and the world around them look three-dimensional. The landscapes of the drawn reality deserve special praise. No other feature film has ever depicted such a fantastically beautiful sky, painted with all the shades of the rainbow. The maximum detail of the image gives the animated film the effect of viewer presence, and the emphasis on these same details makes the visual design interesting. The sound design is also excellent. It blends harmoniously with the visual part of the picture.

The plot is not particularly original. It is quite linear and simple in its presentation, but this makes it easy to watch. Its simplicity is the film's most appealing feature. Of course, the predictability of the action is not very pleasing, but on the other hand, what else can you expect from a cartoon aimed at a non-adult audience? Certainly not innovative and progressive ideas. The story behind the film is, of course, a continuation of the adventures of Po the panda and the Furious Five. In the sequel, it is no longer Po's aspirations and dreams that come to the fore, but his past, his search for a real family, his search for himself. Our hero copes with this successfully. And then a charismatic villain appears, whose problems and complexes are also related to family. The theme of family and relationships between relatives is very relevant in this cartoon.

Jokes are one of the constant attributes of Kung Fu Panda. There are plenty of them in the second film, even for the most discerning tastes. But most importantly, there is no vulgar, “toilet” humor here, which has recently been found even in animated films. The humor is cheerful and amusing. It may not seem so funny to a sophisticated viewer, but you will definitely smile a couple of times while watching, and the children in the audience will be completely delighted. This was clearly demonstrated to me by the children's cries of joy and surprise while watching.

The real treasure of this animated film is its characters. They haven't changed; they've stayed the same as they were. Yes, the characters are written according to a template, their actions and decisions are predictable, their problems are sometimes not serious, and sometimes we see such problems in every other film. But is it possible to look at these charming creatures without smiling? Their large, expressive eyes are so full of life, thoughts, feelings, and emotions that sometimes not even all actors are capable of conveying. Their fur looks so real that you want to touch it and feel its pleasant warmth under your fingers. I could see Gary Oldman in the main villain, even in his gait and gestures. By the way, he is a charismatic character. Like all the others, especially Po. Just look at that small, charming, and defenseless creature he was as a child.

So what is the main difference between the sequel and the original film? In the first film, we were introduced to the characters, their world, their dreams, and their hopes. In the second film, the story is already unfolding before our eyes, and Po is just beginning to comprehend the path of a true kung fu master. Sometimes he stumbles, makes mistakes, but stubbornly continues to move forward. In addition, there were no such large-scale actions and spectacular fights, not only in the first film, but also in feature films in general. However, the ideas and messages of Kung Fu Panda 2 remain unchanged: friendship, family, belief in dreams, belief in oneself and others. This animated film carries a sea of positivity and smiles.
