A psychopathic killer, instead of going to the other world after the electric chair, managed to be 'reborn' thanks to 'Shocker', and now will not leave alone those involved in his capture.

The movie is both scary and funny at the same time. Now, of course, a bad maniac, making faces and ridiculously chasing teenagers, will scare only those who are not familiar with this genre at all. 'Freddy Krueger' also always had elements of comedy, but at the same time, the elaborate ways of killing and torturing victims sometimes struck with brutality and naturalism. In 'Shocker' all of this is an order of magnitude weaker, after all, the main villain does not reach the level of the 'monsters' of the genre. The only interesting thing is how he managed to get the ability to take the form of ordinary mortals with the help of electro-discharge.

At the same time, we have to give credit to the director - thanks to this non-serious approach, 'Shocker' is easy and fun to watch. Especially it concerns funny appearances of the maniac from TV or from nowhere at all, when the main character Parker starts to go crazy from what he has seen. There's never a single moment of disgust, as is the case with popular remakes nowadays. And unfortunately, now such movies are practically not made, the only exception is the films of the same Wes Craven yes Clive Barker But they now they appear no more often than one horror movie in five years, or even more.
