Seasonal handymen Val McKee and Earl Bassett decide to leave the tiny town of Perfection, Nevada, but ominous tremors prevent them from leaving.

With the help of a seismologist student, they discover that the town is infested with giant carnivorous worms that live underground. Now a handful of brave men will have to engage in battle with gigantic creatures who have decided to feast on people.

I watched this film as a child, then it made a deep impression on me. The endless expanses of the state of Nevada, characters that are memorable, as well as a specific humor.

But after some time, the picture looks all the same easily and naturally. Even when accidentally clicking the channels you notice familiar characters, without thinking you watch the picture to the end.

The characters are very memorable in the film - this is Earl Bassett, whose role was played by the brilliant Fred Ward, this is Val McKee, and also Bert Gummer, turned on the weapon. All these characters are so familiar that you no longer imagine that someone else could play their roles. As for me, this is one of the best roles for both Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward.

The plot is pretty simple. But perhaps the picture is so pleasant to the viewer that it does not allow one to be too tormented by the question of where these worms come from and what they do on our planet. Or maybe it's just an ancient life form like dinosaurs. No! Such questions are not posed in the picture, well, thank God. On the contrary, all the simplicity with which the film was shot delivers pleasure for viewing.

After this film, director Ron Underwood did not shoot anything more or less worthwhile, he probably spent all his energy on 'Tremors'. Or maybe the inspiration came for just one film.

But whatever you say, the film is beautiful, original, and beautiful in its nature. Country motives, guys in cowboy hats and a lot of humor. All this gives rise to the unique atmosphere of the film 'Tremors', and if you spend an hour and a half in the company of this film, you will not regret it at all.
