Hitchcock departed from his genre and made a spy detective, there is no thriller, drama, and certainly no crime. Sometimes naive and funny, sometimes with classic elements. The most interesting thing here is the theme - the story of the "Caribbean Crisis" of '62 is shown, only from a different side, from which we are not used to seeing it in movies, and the time - the movie was filmed in the late 60's, and there is still a little bit of the spirit of that time of action - cities, streets, people, cars, that is almost without deception, in the present time, nothing is recreated decades later. And in that sense, it's certainly fun to watch. But reaching for it on the top shelf, at the risk of falling off, is not worth it. It's just an average, entertaining movie.

There are no chases, shootouts, everything is based on suspicions, on some spy tricks, on the love relationship between the main character and an ally (ally) on the side, a girl who is a Cuban, but on the face is a pure Hollywood actress with the same manners. As always with Hitchcock, the development of action is measured, again this nice joker does not forget to insert himself into the movie in the comedy role of an invalid who suddenly gets up from his wheelchair (in the background). All in all, the same old cute Hitchcock, only in a different genre.
