Story Movie

Sam, a terminal patient at a hospice in upstate New York, goes to Manhattan with a group of other patients to see a puppet theater. As the show comes to an end, a new one begins: Earth is under attack by hordes of alien monsters who can't see anything but can hear everything. Sam decides not to run amok and to go to his native Harlem for a pizza. On the way, Frodo the cat, who accompanies her everywhere, meets a terrified law student from England.

The first film about 'big-eared' monsters terrorizing the remnants of humanity was remarkable for its atmosphere of fear and helplessness. The sequel continued a rather localized story of survival of a small group of people, only in the beginning giving heat, when it showed the first moments of warm meeting of alien monsters with representatives of the American countryside. It was this part of the movie that appealed strongly to many viewers and prompted the producers to create 'A Quiet Place. Day One.

As it happens, the beginning of the third movie is very similar to the beginning of the second. We are shown the panic, confusion and helplessness of the humans at the time of the first alien attack. It looks spectacular, but... secondary. Next, we get to see the short journey of a terminally ill hospice girl, her cat, and a guy who accidentally stumbles in with them, who are determined to reach their goal (to eat pizza, and that's no joke!). The story of the new heroine didn't hook me at all, I had already seen all the monster attacks in previous movies, I don't like pizza very much, I don't smile at the sight of kitties, so after watching it I felt only disappointment.

What's wrong with the movie? There's nothing new in it. Nothing at all. I was hoping that we would somehow be told the nature of the origin of the bud-headed screamers, who they were, where they came from, what their ships looked like, their world. Anything at all! None of this is in the movie. Perhaps it is designed for those who have not seen the first 2 parts, but if you were lucky enough to see them, then in the new picture you will be offered only to consolidate the previously passed material.
