Review 4K Movie

A girl with a speaking name Fanny and a stunningly deep and beautiful voice, his life is not imagined without theatrical scaffolding. But only one trouble - a non-standard appearance, so unpopular with modern directors, leaves little chance of success for a talented dunce with “crooked and skinny legs”. But Fanny is not accustomed to give up, because life without the stage - not a life, but a joyless existence. And as often happens in movies perseverance, persistence and a drop of luck at the root change the girl's life. Yesterday's “nosy” girl from the Jewish neighborhood is rapidly becoming a rising star of the stage. The hasty career causes surprise not only to the viewer, but Fanny herself makes loud and theatrically complain about her good fortune - right, she has not yet suffered. But aren't it just love vicissitudes that make naive young ladies suffer more than career ups and downs?!

For the performer of the title role Barbra Streisand “Funny Girl”, rather, a deeply personal story about herself. Therefore, to imagine in her place another actress is impossible even for a fraction of a second. And it is not at all in appearance, so different from the standards of beauty 60-ies of the XX century. Appearance, which is both a curse and the zest of its owner. And not even in the personality of the heroine Fanny Brice, the presence of a sense of humor or charm. Everything is much simpler and more complicated at the same time. Barbra Streisand in the image of Fanny Brice - the brightest example of how shines like a star, a person engaged in their work. There is an external and internal harmony, which can be found once in a century. When Fanny-Barbra sings, her eyes light up like a torch and shine, transforming by any standards of non-standard, far from perfect appearance into a truly beautiful. Glowing from within, warmed by the warmth of talent, transforming ugly, funny girl in the audience's favorite. Fanny Brice William Wyler so harmonious, unclad and comical in its perfect imperfection, so destroys stereotypes, thanks to the inner directness that becomes a legislator of a new fashion. The fashion for naturalness and talent.

This is the phenomenon of the musical's success. It is not about turning an ugly duckling into a swan, but about loving the duckling as it is. So together with the audience falls in love with Fanny Nick Arnstein, whose image was embodied on the screen by the talented and unusually charismatic Omar Sharif. Not only Fanny, but also the viewer can not resist the monstrous charm of the charming hero. Performing in the tape is not at all a hundred percent positive role of the hero-lover, the actor, however, manages to attract the viewer to his side. So, despite the wonderful game Barbra, the viewer is not ready to close his eyes to the infantilism and some capriciousness of her heroine, but easily forgives Nick his fickleness and addiction to gambling. And all thanks to the fact that Sharif's character is unusually sincere in his feelings for Fanny. Even Fanny's amusing attempts to gesture and coquetry, causing the viewer to laugh, seems to be to the liking of the hero. Thanks to such a man as Nick Arnstein, the girl feels beautiful, for the first time in her life, she is loved, and the reciprocal feeling is so strong that Fanny is even ready to forget about her main love for the stage. But does she have a choice? If you look closely, it becomes obvious why the characters are so attracted to each other. They are essentially the same and are a breed of players who live the action. With only one minor but fateful difference - the woman turns out to be much luckier than her man. And no matter how the banal conflict of love-career is resolved, it is unlikely that anyone will win. Even incredibly lucky Fanny, because luck is fickle as ever.

“Funny Girl” is a very simple, but incredibly beautiful story about life, love and theater in the spirit of old Hollywood, filled with a pinch of beautiful songs that create a variety of moods in the audience. For example, the song “People” was charming and touching. And the song “Funny girl”, so sad and lyrical in Barbra Streisand's performance, can be listened to repeatedly. The favorite “Men Men” makes you just cry. For me, this musical is a celebration of true beauty. Inner. Transforming and leaving a stamp of chosenness on people's faces. To paraphrase the song “People”: “People who have found their true calling are the most beautiful people on earth.”
