Priests, police officers, doctors—these are strangers whom we trust most often. Why does their profession cover them with a veil of reliability and righteousness? Why are children, the elderly, the uneducated, and simply trusting people so often deceived by the system?

From childhood, people consciously and subconsciously strive for security, seeking care and attention, but often do not find them in their own families. In their search, children find themselves in completely different situations—some find a family among friends, some remain ignored, and some turn to the church—because it is safe and peaceful there, and the priest's care is perceived as the care of God himself.

Spotlight touches on very important and relevant issues. Is the power of the church limitless? Can clergy not only remain unpunished, but also be encouraged to cover up the crimes of other clergy? And most importantly, do the media, even the largest and most respected ones, really have as much influence as they do in the film to fight such a system?

In this film, you will not find a dynamic plot, sharp impressions, or dramatic twists. Be prepared for two hours of thoughtful reflection on the foundations of society and a fruitless search for answers to the eternal questions: what to do and who is to blame?

It is excellently shot, the actors are very well cast, and all the characters are well-rounded and interesting.
