The six stories are five reincarnations, taking place at different times, closely intertwined with each other.

I'll start with what I liked. First, the visuals: the actors' transformations, beautiful unobtrusive graphics, views of different cities and seas.

Second, the story of Sonmi. It stuck with me the most: it explores the concept of freedom and the pursuit of it, while at times echoing the story of the black sailor. The other stories combine several ideas, and they dissolve into the plot of the film, which is hard to keep up with.

For me, it is important that the film has an idea and that the author reveals it through all the tools available to him. I can assume that the author wanted to talk about reincarnation, but what exactly did he want to convey about it? Maybe the movie is about how the past, present, and future are connected? But then this connection remained barely noticeable and invisible for the idea to be properly revealed.

Moving on to the details, the pretentious quotes “for all times” grated on my ears. In my opinion, each of them deserves more development, and such references for the sake of transitioning from one story to another create the impression that this is just a collection of beautiful quotes to create the appearance of reflection.

Finally, there was a lack of logical connection between the stories. In essence, the whole thing is held together only by the same actors and one very thin thread, which you might not even notice after the first viewing.
