This film is different, far from being like everyone else, and although its genre is defined as a drama, nevertheless, it is not built according to its laws. It's just a story, just about life, just with meaning. Where the river flows, it stands alone, a separate place in the collection of my films. Even now, when I write, I have a rather strange feeling, and I understand that I need to reconsider this picture.

Well, the film was directed by Robert Radford. The main role is played by Brad Pitt, and he plays as always well and convincingly (which could be better than the young Brad Pitt, because the film was filmed in 1992). The film won an Academy Award for Best Cinematography. And in fact, from the name it is clear that a river flows there, there is a forest nearby, a house and relatives nearby, everything is fine, and it is here on the river that a person feels one with nature, and hears a conversation with it, which is nothing more than conversation with God.

And do you know what seemed to me very important in this film? I do not want to talk about either the plot or the main idea, because everyone should feel it himself. This movie really makes sense. And he does not conquer with special effects, the globality of thoughts, or any tragedy of mankind, he just has a real, pure, worthwhile thought. That is, I want to say that the film does not start to like it because of the plot, which is what many emphasize. Perhaps that is why it is worth watching.

It may sound boring, but I thought it was a rare specimen. After all, this is not just a film, this is a book. That book that you read slowly, you can reread, and each time you find deeper meaning, more and more potential.

Where the river flows is worth seeing, but you need to look just as leisurely when there is no one at home, alone calmly, when you stay only to talk with yourself, and when your soul is open and ready to receive a lot of new and good things.
