Story Movie

Having shopped at a dealer, a young man is on his way to a party. During the stop, a bandaged woman, who has obviously escaped from somewhere, gets into his car and suddenly inflicts wounds on herself and splatters the guy with blood from head to toe. Fearing the police, he goes home, and something strange begins to happen to him.

Review 4K Movie

Single-double-play movies have their own conditions, merits and limitations. The peculiarity is that they affect viewers, critics and filmmakers in different ways. Everyone is definitely impressed by the 'experiment' with a single take, they say it is difficult, fundamentally perfect, which means that everyone working on the movie is very diligent and careful: the performance of actors at the highest level, the cameraman, the director of scenes, everyone is trying very hard. Plus, the immersion in the movie should only be stronger, which works especially well for realistic movies.

Except that one take is a bygone trope in movie history. The experiment has let itself be explored. And while everyone already knows the advantages of it, the disadvantages are not obvious. What kind of viewer are you? Watching a movie to the extent that you are immersed in it, do you manage to forget that it is a movie and not reality? The more sophisticated, older or sophisticated the viewer, the less immersed he is, the more often he thinks while watching 'Here's an actor good, the scriptwriter creative, the cameraman skillful' rather than 'Jackie Chan, avenge your uncle, return the stolen goods!' Hence, the movie in one take will not impress the die-hard movie buff.

If abstracted from the movie, one take will be ridiculous. Especially in 'Mads' as it works with an unrealistic plot for a take. In Obsessed, they try to portray the process of the madness virus. So there will be likenesses of zombies, ghouls, materialized spirits, etc. So effects and makeup are needed. But there won't be, because the movie is one take. These are its fundamental limitations: at the stage of filming it is impossible to manipulate natural movie effects, quickly apply makeup and smear the scene with blood. It has to be prepared in advance, like scripts in video games. So you can't have a fear of 'Mads', you're not stupid, you know nothing weird is going to happen on screen! Since the movie is very limited to one take. No one is going to get eaten, torn apart, vomit jets, blown up in packs, blown away by a hurricane. At most, they'll smear blood on the actors and they'll scream expressively.

What about the narrative? In one take, the story takes place in a brief moment of real time: one night ('Victoria'), one working day ('Birdman'). So, no epic and adventure, otherwise the timing would have to be increased so that the viewer would lose his life watching one movie.

Whether you'll like the movie is a matter of evaluating the aspects of single-double movie making that I've listed. Film critics, for the most part, will again squeal with delight due to their snobbery and blind indulgence in movie experimentation. Except that experiment is not an experiment. Accept the fact that we already know enough about what a movie in one take can provide us. It has more over-restrictions, ponts, demonstrative skills, and far less entertaining.

And 'Mads'... isn't scary as a horror movie, unless you're freaked out by hysterical screams and excited by the concept of infectious viruses. It's not interesting as a narrative. The plot rarely develops, the emphasis is on the emotional process of the characters - it's given almost the entire timeline, which makes the movie boring after the emotions are exhausted. Still, having your mother yell for an hour that you've been watching movies all day isn't as likely to hold your interest as having her suddenly change the plot and pull the plug on your life support machine.
