Beautiful and enchanting Kitty is walking with her relatives in Rome. While on the observation deck, she decides to look through a telescope. What she sees through it in one of the windows of the adjoining houses shocks her. A man in a black cloak, black hat, gloves and carrying a knife was killing the girl. What Kitty was able to discern about the killer is that he limps and has a cane. Kitty goes to the police, but the case turns out to be very confusing, the investigation is going hard. Soon witnesses begin to be murdered and Kitty realizes that she herself is in danger, she also realizes that the mysterious killer is someone she knows.

Maurizio Prado made a film in the best traditions of the Italian giallo genre. This film does not claim to be something big and new in this genre; of course, it is full of clichés and borrowings from other films of this kind. But everything is done by the director so masterfully and professionally that there is nothing to reproach him for. The film has everything that fans of this genre love. A killer in a cloak, bloody and spectacular murders, excellent music, and erotic scenes. The director has done a great job and made a film that can be considered a benchmark in the giallo genre. Without deviating from the style of the plot, the director has created a classic of the genre.
The actors give excellent performances. The beautiful Spanish actress Nieves Navarro was invited to play the lead role. This was not her first role in giallo, and she manages to survive in these films with enviable regularity. The director masterfully manipulates the viewer, casting suspicion about the killer on one person and then another. It is not easy to guess who the killer is.

The murders in the film are spectacular and truly frightening. The killer uses his cane to grab his victim by the neck, then stabs them with a sharp blade. The final scene, with the chase after the main character and the revelation of the killer's face to the viewer, is a classic giallo scene in its inimitable form. The killer turned out to be someone I would never have thought of. Unexpected and clever, as befits the genre. The only thing that stands out is that there are plenty of people who limp and use canes, which is a minor drawback of the film. But this does not affect the overall impression.
