Despite the propaganda coloring of the film due to the time when it was made, this wonderful Hitchcockian story is about a man falsely accused of sabotage, and who crosses half the country to find the real criminals.

Surprisingly, the film was made in 1942. The level of the picture looks 'much more recent'. The film is very professionally made - Hitchcock is Hitchcock after all. A good plot, great acting, great camerawork and a lot of finds - all this is in this picture. I can't say it's one of Hitchcock's best films, but it's certainly one of the best films of the forties. I found it very interesting and not at all boring to watch this movie in 2011.

I loved the actors - Priscilla Lane is so petite, like Thumbelina, it's a pleasure to watch her. And in contrast she has the virile Robert Cummings beside her. A beautiful couple.

In general, fans of good movies watch Hitchcock's 'Saboteur' I recommend. It is a professionally made product. Yes, it does not yet have the 'signature' Hitchcock's chips, but it has all the elements of a good movie.
