The body of a murdered fashion model Isabella is planted inside a building. The police begin to investigate, but the initial investigation is inconclusive, and soon Nicole, a fashion model, finds the diary of the murdered woman. The killer, having learned of the discovery of the diary, tries to get it, killing everyone who gets in his way.

Blood and Black Lace is one of those films that you watch not for the plot, but for the atmosphere. Mario Bava creates a stylish, almost hypnotic world of a fashion house, where cold cruelty hides behind stained glass windows and bright decorations. The film is visually impressive: rich colors, expressive lighting, bold compositions — all this makes each scene almost like a painting.

The detective plot itself is simple but effective: a killer in a white mask, models with secrets, the gradual revelation of motives. But the main thing is the feeling of constant tension and aestheticized horror, which Bava brings to perfection. Despite its age, the film looks fresh, and its influence on subsequent giallo and slasher films is immediately apparent.

An excellent example of the genre, a must-see for all lovers of stylish horror and cinematic visuals.
