He is strong, fast and clever. He is cold-blooded, soulless, calculating, but at the same time, technically and deftly dealing with his enemies, trying to kill them professionally, secretly, quietly. He is a product of genetic engineering, whose name is 47. Such was Hitman, played by Timothy Olyphant - virtuoso, skilled, and though Xavier Jeance's picture was weak and unattractive, it could boast character, perseverance and a claim to a witty spy action film. The French director created an imperturbable character, who, with his caution and foresight, sometimes resembled Hunt or the same Bond, but the unknown Alexander Bach bets more on coolness, showing off and posturing, respectively, Rupert Friend's Hitman suffers from the lack of those few qualities, which give the character expressiveness and clarity.

The past attempt to create intrigue by having a confusing and pointless plot simplified even more, and borrowed ideas from James Cameron himself, pinching the first two Terminator films, where the cyborg villain is presented after a positive hero. Over time, Bach shows very obvious parallels, juxtaposing Rupert Friend and Zachary Quinto's characters with those of Kyle Reese and the Terminator. Periodically, both carry "Sarah Connor." You could say, just at the expense of analogies and unsurprising stunts, Fox Studios, is trying to sell the viewer another worthless and low-grade product.

The reboot of the adaptation of the famous video game, is one long mission, no different from mediocre action movies: more fights and shootings, less logic and meaning. But the movie is far from being a primitive action flick, because it has a lame story and a bad visuals. It is difficult to impress with only one beautiful and bright scene, showing "Audi" advertising, especially when there are no interesting characters or some charisma. There is no sign of charisma here, just like passion, intrigue and other things. It's a boring and dull reboot, lacking everything that even a B-movie needs. The new Hitman is food that is not to be chewed or digested. It is unpalatable.
