Unlike the first, so-called "chapter" of "Divergent", the second part, called "Insurgent" (Lord, well, the terminology), is distinguished primarily by extremely tedious demagogy, sorting out relationships, cute "love" and a large number of special effects .. which, among other things, does not in any way save the situation.

Not to say that the first creation of Neil Burger was better, but at least there was any logical component and understandable motivation of the main characters. Right there, the action takes place around a certain mystical artifact of the First Ones. Which appears out of nowhere, it is not clear why and hides in itself no one knows what. But the main villainess named Janine (Kate Winslet) knows what the "secret" of the cherished "box" is, and therefore tries to open it with all her might (not without the participation of divergences).

I remember that in the first film they paid enough attention to staging the battle scenes. And rightly so - stealth action presupposes the quality of this aspect. In this part, on this side, which could have been salutary, they were simply "hammered". Therefore, she is replete with various blunders and unintelligible actions, and this looks even ridiculous with the already inexpressive game of the "licked" and reference characters Shailene Woodley and Theo James.

Insurgent is not the best example of the dystopia of the future. Therefore, behind the spectacular covers, attractive trailer and pop soundtrack, in fact, hides a commercially greedy "leprechaun" who has already set its sights on the wallets of the main and future audience (girls from 12 to 17), which means that it is even worse further.
