"Friday Night Lights" chronicles the 1988 season in the lives of a company of brave men, the Permian High Panthers, the most successful soccer team in Texas history. The young members of the team see every game as a chance to break out of their small town, a fleeting dream of stardom, the pinnacle of which they can reach by their 18th birthday.
The film paints a vivid and evocative image of Odessa and similar towns scattered across America, where once a week during the fall season, the town itself and all the hopes of its inhabitants come to life under the alluring Friday night lights.

Ohhhh! Oh, my God, what a movie this is!

I've never been a fan of any sport, but when I watched it, I jumped off the couch, screaming, wringing my hands. It was unbelievable, like I was watching a real game! I didn't know the story behind the movie, I didn't know if the Panthers would win, but I was cheering, for the first time I was really cheering for someone!

The movie is almost two hours long, but for me it flew by like 20 minutes! It doesn't drag on for a minute, even when the players' stories are shown. And it's good that they showed their stories, told about their lives, because everyone has their own problems, even though everyone wants to be in their shoes.

And how pathetic is Bobby Miles, he had a dream, soccer was his everything. But he still remained a member of the team, all the players, the coach, everyone supported him. After all, they are all one family, everyone helps each other, such an incredible cohesion, in the game is not every man for himself, in the game all for each other.

Thanks to the movie, I think I'm now an American futbol fan. And I will watch 'Friday Night Lights' many more times.
