A charming fairy tale about kind ghosts—sentimental, touching, kind, and appealing in every way. Of course, it's not a masterpiece like Ghostbusters, but it's a pretty good movie.

Although, I remember how everyone was waiting for it on TV about 10 years ago. For us, the “Soviet kids” who had never seen any other science fiction except for Electronics, this film seemed like something supernatural. But even now, with the passage of time, the film has not lost its charm, and these childish special effects are now more enjoyable than sophisticated computer technology.

And besides, the film is really well made and aimed at a specific target audience - children. Children will undoubtedly be delighted now, 10 years ago, and 10 years from now! Because the film has beautiful scenery, a wonderful atmosphere, memorable characters, colorful ghosts, a bit of silly children's humor, a huge old mansion, and a bunch of inventions that never cease to amaze.

It is a flawless children's film with a clear moral, touching moments, and a happy ending. It is entertainment with soul. And although some scenes seem too saccharine and silly, the film remains interesting, and most importantly, it immerses you in the world of children's fantasies, ideas, and imagination.
