Admittedly, when I watched 'Below' for the first time, I did not expect to see such an unusual, intriguing and really interesting mystical thriller. I don't know why the movie caused such positive impressions. Maybe because I am close to military themes.... Or maybe because I love silly fiction..... Anyway, since then I try not to miss 'Below' when it is shown on TV, even though I already know very well what it is about.

The theme of the picture, perhaps, beaten and worn out, but the entourage chosen is very original. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't remember anything similar. The plot does not let go until the final credits, which helps him competent camerawork. And the fact that the budget of the movie is penniless, in my opinion, goes to his advantage. There are no stars among the actors (I'm glad that there are some familiar faces), nobody pulls the blanket on himself. Brits Fleming and Fletcher (familiar from 'Cards, Money and Two Guns'), Greenwood, Williams and the rest play at about the same decent level. You don't need much more than that.
