Since the honored investigator understands nothing about digital technology, two rookies from the Cybercrime Investigation Department are taken into the team, and an old acquaintance Chang Yi-soo is taken on as a consultant.

“The Roundup: Punishment” has a lot of references to the first part, ‘The Outlaws’, it is the same kind of interrogation system in the police station, and the actor Park Ji Hwan, who played in the first part of the gang leader, and here presented in the image of a pea shooter, but with money.

We are now talking about cybercrime, namely online casinos and cryptocurrency. On this villains decided to enrich themselves, well, and brave “uncle-cabinet” Ma Seok Do (one of the most successful actors in South Korea Ma Dong Seok), having gathered a task force and cracked a few chins, trying to prevent this illegal entrepreneurial activity.

The kindergarten level humor associated with actor Park Ji-hwan, who also plays very naively, spoils the whole viewing experience. But this is not the only comedic character, there is also Lee Bom Soo as a mafia digital genius, who shouts and shows off so often that it devalues the seriousness of Kim Moo Yeol (who played the main antagonist, a mercenary with a dark past) and the quality of fights with his participation.

Unlike the first part of “The Outlaws”, this movie doesn't look believable, it's just a farce and staging. As a result, what is happening on the screen is not believable. Two comedy characters kill all seriousness, lowering the bar for the potential viewer to the level of elementary schoolchildren. Apparently the creators of the film did not want or were afraid to show all the crime as it is, filling the viewing primitive humor to the brim. It would have been better to stop on the first, well, maximum on the second part of “The Outlaws”. And now the farther into the forest, the more expensive grass that hares smoke.
