"Doctor Strange 4K" is watched. After the middle of Captain America: Civil War, I was hoping the Strange would be better. Last year, the second Avengers were not so hot, but the Ant-Man turned out to be much better. “Strange” is better than “Confrontation”, but, alas, only a little bit.

Stephen Strange worked as a neurosurgeon and was quite successful in his field. But a car accident puts an end to his career, for his hands are damaged. In search of treatment, he wanders around the planet and finds an Elder who will turn him into the Greatest Mage of the whole Earth.

Something reminds, right? Dude lived normally, but an accident and a meeting with a mentor will change his life forever. And he becomes a hero. Right. "Batman: The Beginning" (it was clear from the first shots and the trailer). In general, it recalls every story of origin (of which, for me, it is correctly shown and does not leave indifferent the origin of the heroes in Batman: The Beginning, the first Spider-Man by Sam Raimi and the first Iron Man. ) Speaking of HF. By nature, Stephen Strange is one-on-one Tony Stark: self-confident, narcissistic, eccentric, sometimes nasty and unbearable genius in his field (in the case of Strange it is neurosurgery), but he is kind at heart. In this regard, he loses to Ant-Man, who was a typical criminal who embarked on the path of correction, but he was an ordinary, intelligent man who would do everything for his daughter. Clichted, but, nevertheless, touches and touches (it is a pity that in the "Citizen" it was epic spent. Like much more). Together, this makes the plot trivial, hackneyed, and so predictable that almost everything can be predicted without magical abilities.

All the actors are in their places, but five are remembered. First of all, of course, Benedict Cumberbatch. In principle, he plays his Sherlock again (as in The Imitation Game), but in this film I did not see Sherlock, and that Doctor Strange, whom I have known since childhood. As if this role was direct to Beni. From Tilda Swinton a true Elder came out (which can be interpreted as a hymn to feminism, because in the comics the Elder was an old man, but in this case I do not care). But who I feel sorry for is Mads Mikkelsen, because the villain turned out to be so dull that there is nothing to play here (although Mikkelsen has a truly villainous face). I do not understand Marvel and Disney. They take on such villainous roles of such eminent and cool actors as Jeff Bridges, Tim Roth, Hugo Weaving, Ben Kingsley, Robert Redford, and give them such sloppy villains (they were stupidly lucky with Baron Zemo). I would be upset on the site of the actors notably. Benedict Wong. Because he plays Wong (apparently because of his last name and took on the role). And Chiwetel Ejiofor, because he is black, and plays Baron Mordo (this tolerance infuriates me).

What captivates the film is magic. This is something new for Marvel, and it's good, because all these Captains of America and MF are already in the liver. Thanks to magic, there is a cool, inventive action, and incredible other dimensions that are sometimes so psychedelic as if you were under LSD. This is beyond description. Better to see once than hear a hundred times. And the humor is still here. Have to laugh more than once for the film. Marvel almost never had a problem with this.

“Doctor Strange Ultra HDR” is a good, but very secondary film. With a wonderful theme of magic, wonderful actors (Benya is especially good), good humor and a wonderful action, but with a weak plot, the likes of which we have seen many times and many where, not particularly interesting main character and, of course, no-brainer villain. As a good blockbuster movie is worth watching, but you do not need to wait for anything more, because “Strange” differs from other similar films only in theme (this is the only thing that wins “Confrontation”, because it is something, but new, which is not enough ) In general, it’s a shame that the year was saturated in terms of comic book films, and only Deadpool (which, in fact, differs from typical comic book films in many ways, could have been really great, was the Suicide Squad, but it didn’t work out). Let's see how everything will be next year. In the meantime, I’ll go meditate and hope that one day they will invent a cloak, similar to what Strange had.
