Single mother Rachel is in the process of divorce, and this day has not worked out for her. She overslept and, taking her son to school, got into a big traffic jam, and the only client left after the closing of the beauty salon fired her for being late. Trying to take a shortcut, Rachel got into a fight on the road with a random motorist and then refused to apologize. This man has already committed a high-profile crime the day before, and he promises to arrange a really terrible day for the impudent one.

Review 4K Movie

There are films that do not need to delve into the characters or be sophisticated in terms of plot in order to really get the goosebumps of the viewer who came to the session. All that is needed is a more or less realistic plot, familiar problems to everyone and an atmosphere of endless tension - and now you are already squeezing into a chair. I have just described to you in a nutshell how I felt about Furious, which I watched two hours ago. Therefore, the review is in front of you, as they say, in hot pursuit.

To be honest, you simply do not expect such a film from the director, albeit topical, but still quite faded 'The Jones Family'. But it seems that after a series of unnoticed projects, Borte was greatly helped by cooperation with screenwriter Carl Ellsworth, who has several tightly knocked action films in his piggy bank (for example, Wes Craven's Night Flight or a remake of The Last House on the Left). As a result, we have a well-cut thriller that I have something to say about.

The 33 millionth project from Ingenious Media throws us into action right from the start. We see a single mother torn apart by life's problems. The husband wants to sue the house, there is no money, they are fired from work, the son and the unemployed brother are on the neck - and then there are traffic jams and late for work. The final chord is a strange pickup truck that, an infection, does not go to green. Just a long, irritated beep and refusal to apologize for our behavior - how many times in our life have we encountered this? But only from this moment the horror begins, from which you find yourself in shock.

The feed wins viewers' attention through several powerful factors. The first is relevance, which we were helpfully reminded at the beginning of the film. We live in the most stressful times, and give or take something like that can really be seen in crime news bulletins. In addition, any of us may find ourselves in a similar situation, and not only on the road. How would I behave in such a situation? What if I had a bad day too? Did the heroine deserve such a fate and could it have been avoided? 'Furious' makes you not just wait for the bloodbath, but reflect on the questions that definitely require it. And for this genre, it's worth a lot.

The second is Russell Crowe in the title role. I never expected to see him in such a genre, especially with the fact that he was very old, but the fact is that he played excellently. You are afraid of his character like fire - he is unpredictable, terrible and insanely angry. For this, we don't need his chewed up backstory or even his name. His motivation, albeit creepy, is, unfortunately, quite earthly. As for me, the psycho, who went off the reels completely, played on a solid five.

The third is a lot of action and dynamic storytelling. There are many films about chase and kidnapping, but here the maniac is known from the very beginning. And the way it works goes beyond the usual patterns of the genre. In order to achieve his sadistic goal, he will not stint on any sacrifices, and the camera and the editor relish every frame and location in order to get the most intense situations along with the sound at the output. The budget allowed the creators to truly swing at the 'damage' to their world, which in turn squeezes all the psychopathy out of the main villain, so that we wondered - damn, what else are you capable of ?!

The fourth is the realism of what is happening. In some places far-fetched in the name of beautiful plot twists, of course, without it you can, but let's be honest. Does each of us worry about our loved ones? Yes. Is everyone ready to kill for their child? Yes. Is each of us capable of anything to survive? Certainly. The film powerfully plays on almost all the fears of modern residents of large cities, at the same time recalling the elementary rules, if followed, the main character could avoid a lot of problems. By the way, it turned out to be a great way to learn from other people's mistakes. I will not list, because a spoiler, but believe me - something is really worth learning.

'Furious' is a great example of a movie from which you don't expect much, but you get so much that it just blows your mind. Not the most famous director, not the biggest budget, a couple of familiar names - but a good plot outline, a lot of action and the emotional atmosphere does its job one hundred percent.
