In the year 2022, the head of one of the colonies created the perfect prison of the future. It has no walls, no guards, no cells. However, it is impossible to escape from there. Absolom is a lost island, where the most dangerous prisoners of the country are left to themselves.

Forever cut off from civilization, they live by the laws of primitive society. Some no longer differ much from animals, while others are still trying to retain their human appearance. Marine Captain John Robbins was taken to Absolom after he refused to obey an unjust order. And he is the only prisoner determined to prove to everyone that there are no perfect prisons...

It's one thing to sit in a dark cell and only think about escape or crimes committed, but it's another to be thrown into some unknown island called Absolem, where everything is a jungle and nothing else seems to be there. But that does not mean that this place can be called a place of freedom. In fact, here live (or try to survive) the most real criminals, thrown here because of the sentence of life imprisonment. One part of the bandits likes to chew newcomers for dinner or just kill from nothing to do, and the other part, which has long since changed its views and those can no longer be called prisoners, is trying to rebuild its life. But there are also others... and they are much more to be feared.

It's a very interesting idea. I'm surprised that no one has thought of a remake. Although there's no need for one... the original will always be superior to its copy, whatever it may be.

Maybe there is such an island now.) No, I don't think so. It's not 2022 yet. However, just because I don't know doesn't mean it can't exist. It is under the strictest red SECRET sign: no satellite, no plane or helicopter will ever see it. That island doesn't exist and never was, and neither is the movie) Okay, jokes aside.

Fight and use all your skills, even if you don't have any, to survive here! You're just going to relax and someone's going to take your shoes off or bite your ear off. You were a criminal, and now you have to stay one. But Ray Liotta's character is different. With his abilities and knowledge he begins to fight not only for his life. In the end, the prisoners win over their superiors and, for the first time in 13 years, finally leave (though not all) this big, secret prison territory, which then becomes known to all the authorities. Those who have seen the movie know. And who will watch it, will definitely understand and hopefully, like me, will put this film in the list of one of my favorites.

P.S.: I saw No Escape when I was a child. Because the copy on the cassette was terrible at the time, and to look at my age, it was creepy to watch. But I kept watching it, and I thanked myself for that.

Running, dodging scary traps, destroying the enemy and staying alive at all costs are the only rules on the island.
