How many times have positive reviews spoiled the impression? But all for no good reason.

On the one hand, the children who were at the session were delighted. Only they were kids under the age of 7. And I sat and tried to stay awake. But briefly and in order:

1. Graphics: unusual, well-designed and endlessly beautiful.

2. The plot is clichéd. Didn't see anything interesting. Just a quest. And very predictable: here he will do this, here it turns out that his father, here he will win. No tension, no mystery. I think any Indian film is a thousand times more thrilling. Though some people may be interested, but it seems I was the only one who watched Santa Barbara and Indian movies with my mother when I was a kid. Amnesia in most of the characters!!! This is crazy! I understand it's a cartoon, but why make it so childish? Why didn't the mother decide to save her son sooner and wait to die? Wouldn't it have been easier to find that armor together, or at least tell earlier that all the stories were true (would have come up with some plan)? What was her plan for the future - to sit in a cave all her life? I realize that in the context of the idea of the movie, it's not really important. It was important for the screenwriter to leave the boy alone - that's understandable. But for a good movie, you have to do not only the message, but also the logic! It will do for children.

3. The characters are banal. They just aren't any. Some are good and some are evil. Maybe it's because of the paucity of emotions, but I can't get enough of the main character. Considering the genre - empathy is a must. Although it is mandatory for any normal movie. Just look at how long it took him to get over his mother's death. Mmmm...let me remember. He wasn't sad at all. That's the fault of the script. If I'm shown him screaming for a second, like 'Mom!' and that's it, it doesn't make me empathize with him.

4. The film has a good message, but you don't have to throw it around. Pathos phrases like Confucius prescribed - kill. And sometimes it feels like they're chewing it up for three-year-olds on purpose. Too little bad emotion for tragic events. It makes all the tragedy come to naught and turn into farce.

Recommended only for children. Although it may be a bit scary for children.

I really like Japanese, Korean art, but this doesn't do it justice.
