The whole of America sat down to the TV screens when the audience's favorite series "Galaxy Quest" began. The heroes of this fantastic saga were truly folk heroes. But as the years passed, the TV bosses got bored with the series - Galaxy Quest was shut down and the troupe was disbanded.

Now unemployed poor poor actors are forced to travel all over America, speaking at meetings with fans for a pittance. In general, things with the former stars were, to put it mildly, very bad. And then a very unusual fan of the show shows up.

A very funny and surprisingly successful parody comedy. Of course, the first thing that catches your eye when watching it is a lot of parodic moments, clinging to popular space series a la 'Star Trek' and other Babylon-5. It parodies not only the plot content of such series and their inherent stamps, but also the very existence of the series in our reality: the congresses of crazy fans, squabbles in the group of actors losing popularity TV soaps and so on.

However, the beauty of the movie is that it does not turn into a set of vignettes, ridiculing this or that side of the phenomenon of space-serials. There is a good, though uncomplicated plot, and even a moral, which allows the movie to become a whole in the viewer's mind.

Special effects and makeup, specially sharpened for 'serial' samples, are also pleasant. That's why in this deliberate primitiveness are perceived on a hurrah.

The cast is also, of course, worth mentioning. There and Tim Allen, the coryphaeus of such a comedy genre, and Alan Rickman, whose character, forced to constantly walk in alien makeup and tormented by the need to say the stupidest pathos phrases instead of 'to be or not to be ', became my personal favorite in the film, and Sigourney Weaver, the very appearance of which immediately brings a smile at the memory of the epic with 'Aliens'.

In general, a great comedy, which should especially appeal to those who once watched the endless adventures of spacefarers on all channels of television.
