Story Movie

Sean and a group of fellow hunters catch animals in the African savannahs on orders from the world's zoos. Working with wild animals is associated with high risk, so when a reporter who has arrived from Europe begins to persuade Sean to take her on safari with him, she receives a categorical refusal. However, the reporter is very pretty, and in the end Sean finds it hard to resist her feminine charms.

I never thought I would see such a vibrant, entertaining movie with John Wayne. Not often you see this legendary actor in a movie about safari, and even with a comedy bias. Literally from the very first frames, the picture amazes with the scale of filming, colorful African landscapes and dynamic scenes of catching wild animals. Add to this a lot of comic situations, romance and a truly international cast. So, even in spite of the more than two-hour running time, you won't be bored!

This is a real entertaining movie for the whole family, not without reason in 1962 the picture became the highest-grossing Paramount movie. Especially amusing is the scene of milking wild goats, catching monkeys with a rocket and using elephants as trackers. And the very dangerous rhino hunt is not to be forgotten. And all this despite the fact that the picture was shot in Tanzania, i.e. in the natural habitat of these exotic animals, and the actors had to work with them without any stuntmen. And I must say, John Wayne came out of this ordeal with honor....
