Resident Evil: The Final Chapter 4K 2016 Ultra HD 2160p
The action of the film unfolds from the moment at which the previous part ended. After Wesker betrayed Alice in Washington, the end of human history was even closer. Alice is the last hope for saving the world. She must return to the starting point, to where it all began - the city of Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is preparing for the final attack on those who managed to survive.

In a race against time, Alice will arm herself to the teeth and team up with friends and those whom she did not expect to see as her allies. Together they will fight against the army of the dead and new monstrous mutants. Threatened with losing her abilities and preparing for the imminent attack of the corporation, Alice will face even more difficult problems, while humanity will be on the brink of death.

Review 4K Movie

I can explain everything.

It seems to be so - who in their right mind will go to the movies for the sixth part of "Resident Evil"? But you don't go to the cinema now - you never go, because the new film was called "The Last Chapter". This time. Two - out of respect for the already such a distant first film and personally for such an almost native Milla Jovovich, I wanted to see with what force the franchise would slam the door.

And it all began for health. The first "Resident Evil" became a very worthy adaptation of the cult computer game that was released on Playstation-1: a dynamic, partially meaningful action horror about the defeat of 99% of the population by the terrible T-virus. In the second and third parts, the fragile meaning fell to pieces, and only action and horror remained for "Afterlife" (this is "Abode" number 4). That is also not forbidden, there are seven "Fast and the Furious". With 20-30 percent "yes" from critics and 30-65 million for production, "Resident Evil" consistently collected its 150-250 million per film. Mainly due to foreign hire: Jovovich has a cosmopolitan face and the game is played all over the world.

The sixth part begins where the fifth ("Retribution") ended, but not directly from the place where the army of evil spirits approached the White House, but a little later, after the hats were dismantled. Sly and economically, what can you say. The main action is traditionally preceded by a summary of the previous series. Firstly, this is a trick, and secondly, it is very useful: they put five films in five minutes, and you don't have to torment yourself with a revision, or even start from scratch.

The Umbrella Corporation is going to kill all survivors and build a better world. The central computer, known as the Red Queen, experiences a digital analogue of remorse, contacts Alice and shows her the way to escape. Anti-T-virus was developed for the corporation's engineers and is located in its black heart - in the Anthill laboratory. Our heroine must get to the medicine and spray it all over the world. Alice travels to Raccoon City. Doctor Isaacs, played by Ian Glen, and a bunch of monsters and faceless enemies are trying to prevent her from reviving and becoming the leader of Umbrella.

What do you need to take with you to the cinema besides popcorn? These are earplugs, not too tight, twenty decibels. The soundtrack of the movie is "creepy loud and outrageously loud", even louder than "Interstellar". Could it be Hans if this is Zimmer, I thought, hearing the deafening cosmic organ, but no, it turns out, someone Paul Haslinger.

What catches your eye? Everything from boo-bogus (this is like when the camera turns with a scream, and there are their own or nothing at all) and ending with zombie dogs and other monsters born of the T-virus. Boo effects - cutting, shouting, clapping, exploding - an incredible amount. Each creature considers it its duty to jump noisily from around a corner or shoulder.

What about other special effects? The impression is twofold, but I rather liked the choice of Paul Anderson, the permanent screenwriter and almost permanent director of the series. He took a step towards realism, staining the scenery and dimming the lights. If you, of course, agree to consider realistic some leathery pteromutant, the only monster that is clearly visible. The rest attack in the dark, increasing realism and saving money, which spent only 40 million (on "Retribution" with brightly lit Slimes and Executioners - 65). Due to the general desolation, chases and cunning vehicles, some scenes resemble the last "Mad Max", which is an overt and audacious compliment.

What about Alice? She's in order. Milla Jovovich turned forty, but she rides like a mountain goat, and waves her legs and machine guns so that any 35-year-old will envy. How else would my wife fill up 8-10 villains in 8-10 seconds, - Anderson thought, - after all, in five films I tried everything. Oh no, not everything! Not yet hanging upside down, clinging to the wire with his foot. Not yet!

What's the point? The fragments were carefully swept away on a scoop, somehow glued and hung on the side of a bow in the form of the original, very first Alice. The story had to be rounded off somehow - and the story was rounded off. Compared to the fifth part, it is a fountain of meanings. But if in detail, the meanings are not a fountain. Template on template, middle name of Claire, Alice's fighting friend - Pathetika, Dr. Isaacs caricatured religious. But maybe he was always like this? Nobody is obliged to remember this. There is a simple scheme that can be applied starting from the third part: fewer pauses in the action for clowning - a better movie. There are few pauses in this. If you really love him, then not for the dialogues.

Love is too much for this movie. But you can definitely enjoy it. And maybe it won't even be ashamed. If I were a critic who was asked - yes or no, I would say: "xs, but rather yes." The franchise slammed the door very loudly, literally, so much so that it bounced and remained half open. Despite the unambiguous uncompromising title of the last film, rumors are circulating on the Internet linking the continuation of the completed series to the box office success of The Final Chapter. Well, okay, let it be "The very last chapter" and "Now for sure the very last chapter" - Milla is in great shape.
