Review 4K Movie

A very good adventure film. One of the brightest representatives of the genre. Childhood film. The film is a legend. Steven Spielberg and George Lucas created one of the most iconic characters in the history of cinema - the famous and noble Dr. Indiana Jones, the eternal adventurer and adventurer. And Harrison Ford, in turn, created a new type of adventurous hero in this picture - his Dr. Jones is a very integral and organic character.

On the one hand, he is smart, intelligent, charming and has a great sense of humor, but, on the other hand, he is a real "dolt", an eternal boy, passionate about his work and does not waste time on such nonsense as manners or impeccable appearance. He will not sit in a lectern at a university or museum, talking about lofty matters and blowing dust off age-old artifacts. His credo is action.

Action is one of the most indisputable advantages of the picture. From the first minutes of the film to the very end, the viewer witnesses incredibly exciting and dynamic action. The hunt for ancient relics, sophisticated traps, exciting pursuits on land, water, underground and in the air - on planes, trucks, ships and submarines. And also mysterious caves with snakes, beetles, spiders and other crawling creatures - in a word, all the attributes of a cool adventure movie. And, of course, the love line! Add to this already "spicy" cocktail the mystical and mysterious atmosphere of occultism and you get "Searchers of the Lost Ark".

Despite the fact that the film was conceived as a 100% entertaining spectacle without any subtext philosophy and deep thoughts, one cannot but pay tribute to the creators of the picture for the excellent quality of the work done. The film is distinguished by a non-trivial plot, a good script, excellent humor in some places, good actors, a magnificent soundtrack from the legendary John Williams that fits perfectly into the picture, and an amazing technical performance.

From a technical point of view, the picture is made almost flawlessly: excellent camera work and scenery, great, "deep" sound, good editing. The visual effects are also made at the level, but here you need to look back at the time, because for 1981 the special effects are done perfectly, but from the point of view of modern computer technologies, some scenes in the film are too "cartoonish" graphics, although I I wouldn't call it.

In general, "Indiana Jones" could be safely called the standard of an adventure film, if not for several significant shortcomings, which, alas, take place. Firstly, a colossal number of "blunders" (these are not only technical inaccuracies, but also historical inconsistencies), and secondly, the lack of a clear genre - in some places the film is perceived exclusively as a comedy. Remember at least a completely stupid moment when Indy runs across the field, a whole tribe of Indians rushes after him (with bows and poisoned darts, among other things), and his partner, seeing all this, continues to sit near the plane and, as if nothing had happened , to fish.

Well, the biggest drawback, in my opinion, is the absolute implausibility of what is happening. On the one hand, the brilliant technical implementation of the film suggests that all this is real, but on the other hand, at some point you just realize that you are seeing something completely implausible. At this moment, the picture loses all the charm of an adventure film, simply turning into a beautiful fairy tale. Nevertheless, it is incredibly spectacular and extremely interesting.

To summarize, I want to say that Indiana Jones, in spite of everything, takes pride of place in the collection of my favorite films. I can't call it a masterpiece, but I can definitely say - an absolute classic!
