One day a boy named Shaggy meets a homeless puppy who gets a rather strange nickname - Scooby-doo. This becomes the beginning not only of a real friendship, but also of a lot of amazing events, in which the main characters take an active part. With the support of schoolchildren Daphne, Freddy and Velma buddies create a private detective agency, dreaming to help the city authorities to cope with various criminals. Soon comes the moment when brave detectives have to face real danger: Sneaky Dick is going to release Zerber, a creepy ghost dog, and a desperate team must at all costs stop the approaching apocalypse.

"Scooby-Doo! "is a 3D cartoon from director Tony Chervone, based on the characters of the original cartoon series "Scooby-Doo", as well as the characters of the cult series "Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines" (1969) and "Captain Cavman and Young Angels" (1977), which were created in the 60s by the great cartoon company Hanna-Barbera (it was the fathers who founded this studio who gave us "Johnny Quest", "Flintstones", "Tom and Gerry", etc.). д. ).

The film is a kind of restart of the absolute universe, which will be based on the Scooby-Doo series line.

The plot begins with a young Shaggy Rogers and an unnamed puppy who later gets the nickname Scooby-Doo. Later, Shaggy and Scooby meet the rest of the Mystic Corporation: Velma Dinkley, Daphne Blake and Fred Jones for Halloween.

Together, they solve the first ghost puzzle in the same night, which unites them and forms their tandem of a mystery team.

Many years later, however, the hunt for Scooby began because of his pedigree. And the hunt is conducted by no one, and the greatest and most beloved by me villain in the universe Hanna-Barbera legendary Dick Dusterdley (which was voiced by Jason Isaacs, who played Lucius Malfoy from Harry Potter and in the episodic role of William Birkin in "Resident Evil 1"). But our villain is hampered by a hopeless super hero in the face of the son of the Blue Falcon. Also in the episodic role during the futile attempts to escape the heroes they meet another great character - Captain Savage (aka Captain Caven), who also succumbed to the heat of the heroes in a fiery battle.

I was watching that ribbon with excitement. And most of all I liked the storyline Dick Dusterdley, because even though he is made a villain here, but in fact, he first rescued his partner, who was lost many years ago in a failed experiment. As this storyline approached its climax, I roared first with grief and then with joy. This is one of the few films where the antagonist overshadows the main characters.

I also liked the return of Captain the Wild Man, who in this version came out more gallant, educated, civilized and less wild, which is very fun to play with.

Humor in the ribbon is diverse: from classic buffanada to mocking the weak features of the characters. For example, I really liked the way the film literally mocks Fred, making him look like a complete jerk.

The composer of the film was Sven Libaek, who assembled a good collection of tracks that convey the spirit of the past franchise and weave it into modern reality.
