1985. A drug courier flies over the Georgia woods and drops several bags of cocaine, some of which are found by a baribal and eaten by the contents. The animal goes berserk, and now all the tourists, rangers and the poor bastards who happen to get in its way are in for a world of hurt.

It never ceases to amaze me how American filmmakers manage to screw up a promising and winning material time after time. It would seem that the concept-bomb: a bear stoned, crushing everyone around him. This is such a free-for-all, the kind of crazy crap you can make - any smart slasher-director (of which there are enough now) for a penny will make a sweet thing. But no, first we'll hire "Nanny" sequel scriptwriter Jimmy Warden to make a family melodrama out of the "bloody carnage with black humor" genre, where the first 25 minutes (out of 90) are like a mediocre introduction with nothing going on at all! Plus, to make life did not seem like a raspberry, ponapihayut "sort of funny" jokes, idiotic (even for the genre is hand-face), the action make less (well, to boring), and the final all again drowned in the family pink snot.

To be fair, in the middle of the "author" was inspired, and a couple of funny and typical bloody moments he still managed to come up with, but this is certainly not saving.
