Story Movie

A homeless cat is trying to find a little girl, whom he is destined to save from an unknown threat. On his way he meets very different people involved in dangerous and frightening stories, from a doctor who experiments on his nicotine-dependent patients to a bandit who has prepared a brutal massacre for his wife's lover.

A great film adaptation, especially I liked two things: the first is the way they combined three completely incompatible stories, and the second is that it was done exactly as I had imagined when I read the works. When I read 'Quit Smoking Corporation!' and didn't think James Woods himself could be cast in the lead role, I was pleasantly surprised.

I think it would have been much better if I had seen this movie when I was a kid - then it would have scared me and I would have liked it a lot more, but now it makes me smile and feel no more than a cute smile and a sense of satisfaction (from a nice adaptation). The more I watch King movies in which King was directly involved (producer, director, screenwriter, whatever), I realize more and more that he has his own style, his own presentation of the story... not like the others.

I was fascinated by the beginning of the film, where first the cat is chased by Cujo (from 'Cujo'), and on the road they meet the beautiful Christina (from 'Christina'). Because of this, you immediately feel the atmosphere of the movie...
