He doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, doesn't drive, doesn't socialize with women, and has never made a dime in his life. But if he doesn't come up with half a million dollars, his family's land will be taken away. He has to accept an offer from a shady-looking guy to go to the World Bowling Championships.

This is probably the best comedy of the magnificent Farrelly brothers. Honestly, as many times as I've seen this movie it always makes me laugh out loud, even though I know all the jokes ahead of time.

There are at least five reasons why you should watch this movie:

1. The humor itself. Here, of course, it's crude and in some places it's very vulgar. But, damn it, it's really funny! And the laughter is almost every line of the characters, every expression on their faces. The scene with the coffee and the 'robber' is worth it, I personally just sobbed with laughter. Although, as I said, the humor here is specific, but it fully justifies itself, because it causes laughter, not disgust or boredom.

2. Actors' performance. Here, of course, Woody Harrelson, Bill Murray and Randy Quaid came off to the full, lit up, set the heat, made a bang, in general it was obvious that they are on the set of this movie guys enjoyed the process.

For example, what Big Ern (Murray) during the decisive match with Munson (Harrelson). But first things first:

Harrelson's hero--(Roy Munson) Typical loser who was ruined by his own pride. The guy's really unlucky. And as often happens with talented people who have lost the opportunity to realize their talent, he began to drink and all sorts of degradation. It came to the point that poor Roy had to please the landlady of his apartment, looking like a female Australopithecus, so that she did not throw him out on the street for non-payment. But our hero got a chance in the form of Ishmael to correct his rather sad situation. The main message of this hero is generally clear - every person, even if he is the latest loser and asshole, can change his life for the better. You just have to overcome your laziness and believe in yourself. In general, a typical hero of American comedies.

Ishmael (Randy Quaid) is a simple American Mormon. He and his community live by their own laws and principles. Ishmael himself is a model of chastity, integrity and abstinence from all vices. The only thing that connects him to our world is bowling. And then he is 'lucky' to meet Roy, who undertakes to help save his community from the sale of their land, for which they can not pay. And then our respectable Mormon under Roy's careful guidance turns into an abomination of debauchery. Alcohol, women, cigarettes, tattoos are just a partial list of his new interests. Randy Quaid was great in this one. I laughed my ass off. The bathroom scene with the newspaper was hysterical.

Ernie McRacken as Bill Murray is just peerless. Here old Bill showed his truly comedic talent. His big Ern is an arrogant, greedy bowling star. He is the main cause of Roy's failures, his complete opposite. His character embodies a slightly simplified image of a famous, spoiled by fame man. Bravo Bill!!!

3. performer of the main female role Vanessa Angel. Very beautiful and spectacular girl. In the movie looked organic and made it a known share of charm and beauty. The scene of her fight with Roy not just caused laughter, watching it I realized that women are not so defenseless.

4. Music. The Farelli brothers like no one else select great, usually rock music for their movies. Of course the soundtracks for 'Dumb and Dumber' were just cool on their own and without the movie. But there are a couple of really good songs here too.

5. And finally the fifth and most important reason. If it's raining behind your eye and you're feeling sad and wistful. Don't be lazy to watch this movie, I'm sure after watching it the sun will rise, if not on the street, then in your soul, you will be warm and happy.
