A year has passed since the first movie, all the heroes now study not in high school, but in college, and in the summer on vacation decide to rent a country house, where you can have fun, lie on the beach and chase girls, who are there in abundance. Quite often, sequels turn out to be much worse than the first parts. This is definitely not the case with American Pie 2. Yes, in my humble opinion, the second part is slightly inferior to the first, but only slightly. The first “pie” caused a sensation. It was a breakthrough in the genre, a new word in youth comedies. So, the second part is a worthy continuation. The most important things remain: the actors, male friendship, gender confrontation, perfectly played comic situations, a cool music selection, and everything else that made American Pie 1 legendary.

Let's talk about the plot. It's pretty simple, like everything genius. Four high school friends end up at different colleges. In the summer, they return home to East Great Falls. That's where it all begins: a wave of nostalgia rolls in, followed by fun parties at Stifler's house (“... at Stifler's parties, everyone gets drunk and thinks about who to fuck”), which are quickly shut down by the police. So where can young people go to have some “cultural” fun? That's when Kevin comes up with the idea of renting a cabin on the lake. No sooner said than done. Kevin, Jim, Finch, Chris, and Stifler manage to pool their money and rent not a house, but more like a palace on the lake. Jim is preparing to solemnly welcome Nadia, Kevin dreams of resuming his relationship with Vicky, Chris is waiting for his beloved from Spain, Finch has not lost hope of continuing his relationship with Steven's mother. And Stifler remains true to himself and continues to do everything he can to get as many girls into bed as possible.

Is it worth mentioning the humor? With such a plot and such actors, it would have been a sin not to create a magnificent comedy. And James B. Rogers did just that. Watch it, recommend it, admire it...
