The Future. Ted Stryker, a former military pilot, and his lover, stewardess Ilaine, are in a relationship again. In an attempt to win back his beloved, Ted climbs aboard a new space shuttle, going to the moon, because it is on it that Elaine flies. Soon it turns out that the ship has serious malfunctions, and the head of the flight, in order to quickly make the first launch of the ship and earn more money, ignored the warnings of engineers about the danger. Once again, Stryker becomes the passengers' only hope for salvation.

Few people have heard of the first film, let alone the second. Below, I will explain what worked well in this film, but in short, it is a brilliant parody film, a worthy sequel to the first part. They don't make films like this anymore.

The plot is the same as in the first film, but this time the action takes place not on an airplane, but on a passenger space shuttle flying to the moon. The main cast is the same - the stewardess and pilot are played by the same actors, and they have the same pseudo-drama.

Such films parody literally everything possible. The number of jokes per meter of film exceeds reasonable limits, and that's great. At the same time, it should be understood that this was the 1980s. Censorship was much milder, and therefore the humor here is sometimes very dark. Or should we now say African American?

It would be a big mistake to try to perceive this film as something more. While the first part still attempted to introduce us to some characters and tell their story, there is none of that here. The film even manages to poke fun at the first Airplane, which hints at its secondary nature.

It's hard to say for sure whether this is good or bad. Still, I had a lot of fun and felt a wave of nostalgia for those times. Hotheads, The Naked Gun... Those were good times. Where did it all go?
