Story Movie

Mr. O'Grady unexpectedly returns from Ireland as a wealthy man. His wife thinks he's just drunk and out of his mind when he claims he stole gold from a leprechaun and that they're now going to live a whole new life. However, Mr. O’Grady didn’t take one small detail into account: the leprechaun himself somehow traveled with him in his suitcase and is now bent on revenge against the one who coveted his riches.

Review 4K Movie

We’ve grown accustomed to magical tales about leprechaun gold. In various movies, these little Irish creatures are portrayed as a side plot or a minor element to the main storylines. And yet, the attempts to steal gold from a leprechaun look so funny and playful—the kids have a blast, and the little guys look silly—which is why these movies are rated for children. But it’s time to learn the real legend about theft.

Fairy tales are one thing, but people have tried to take what doesn’t belong to them. And when something is stolen from you, there’s not much to be happy about, is there?! The time when the leprechaun takes center stage promises nothing funny, because he will stop at nothing to get all 100 of his coins. A story about how Warwick Davis chased after Jennifer Aniston in search of money. A sort of debt collector came to collect.

The film’s style is skillfully presented. Essentially, it’s a comedy, but the leprechaun’s methods are far from endearing, because whoever gets in his way will pay dearly. The main characters—a group of young people—don’t believe in fairy tales about the Irish creature at all, but a bag of gold they find by chance raises high hopes. The film places each character in a specific role: an impressionable child, a slightly dim-witted boy, a strong and brave guy, and a fiery girl. Each perceives the tales of gold in their own way, but when the green suit appears on the scene, the fun begins.

The leprechaun is a tough and gruff little guy. His methods are impressive. Viewers learn more interesting details about the little guy’s magical power, which is linked to the stolen gold. Watching people’s attempts to stop the main character brought a smile, and the straightforward narrative allowed the focus to shift more toward Aniston. What was created merely as a parody of the primitive American horror film style unexpectedly became a cult phenomenon, spawning sequels with a huge number of fans around the world. It’s all about the little guy!

He immediately draws obvious sympathy, and the viewer stops following the plot, watching the leprechaun who not only wants his gold back but also turns the process into an exciting game, into fun.

It’s interesting and funny, and Warwick Davis is a gem. In fact, before Peter Dinklage came onto the scene, Warwick had already won the hearts of many. Yes, the dwarf’s lot in life isn’t an easy one, but you have to look on the bright side—Davis’s condition made him a national treasure in the UK.
