Story Movie

John Keating is a new English teacher at a conservative American college. He stands out from the stuffy crowd of teachers thanks to his easygoing manner, eccentric behavior, and disregard for the curriculum. One day, he initiates his students into the secret of the Society for the Dead Poets. From that moment on, each student strives to find their own voice in the faceless chorus and to view the world around them by leaping high above the gray school fence.

Review 4K Movie

Carpe diem—seize the day. This phrase instantly captures the very essence of the film—a story about the uniqueness of the human spirit, the struggle against “herd” mentality, and, on top of everything else, the importance of creativity in life

A new English teacher begins working at a staid American high school. In such a conservative environment, John Keating stands out for his love of free thought, his easy manner of speaking, and his unconventional teaching methods. The students immediately took a liking to the teacher and his captivating lessons, and, unexpectedly even to himself, he initiates them into the secret society of Dead Poets, of which he himself was once a member. From that moment on, their familiar routine transforms into something new—an attempt to find themselves and their own voices amid the gray mass of the crowd—but will everyone succeed?

Honestly, when I sat down to watch the movie, I didn’t expect it to evoke such vivid emotions in me at all. While watching, I wanted to absorb every line, write it down, and reflect on it at length—and, in general, follow those same principles. They conveyed the idea incredibly well—that you must constantly seek your own perspective, just as John Keating and his students stood on their desks to view the world from a different angle—always think for yourself and swim against the current, live authentically rather than vegetate in quiet despair.

It’s very difficult to stand up for your convictions in front of others, and this was shown through the example of all the characters; moreover, the film’s message was revealed through each character’s story—for instance, Neil completely changes his life goals after discovering the theater, Todd finds self-confidence and poetry, and Knox is inspired by the idea of defying the system and finding love. In short—they found their uniqueness. And what an enormous role John Keating plays in this! Honestly, if there were more teachers like him, the world would be a much cleaner and brighter place, because a mentor plays a colossal role in shaping a person’s character and development.

All in all, this movie really moved me; I highly recommend everyone check it out. Nonconformity and criticism of social norms are practically oozing out of every crack, which, in my opinion, is a good thing. Art in its purest form

People don’t write and read poetry just for fun; we read and write poetry because we belong to the human race, and the human race is driven by passions
