Story Movie

In the evenings Alex dances sexy dances in a nightclub, and during the day she works in a factory and takes classes to fulfill her childhood dream of becoming a ballerina. She has a beautiful, kind and understanding patroness who was once a famous and extraordinary ballerina whose dancing skills were admired and her talent idolized. Insecure meek young and dreaming of dancing girl goes to her dream, but, fearing to fail, constantly running from viewings. But suddenly her life turns into an extraordinary fairy tale, Alex begins to be courted by a rich and handsome beau, and her dream of ballet school almost soon comes true. The story is similar to the fairy tale of Cinderella, who by the will of fate became a princess.

Everyone has a grandiose dream, and of course the main character, Alex, has one. The girl is in love with dance and dreams of entering a ballet school, but there are many obstacles in her way, the main one being fear. It builds up at the sight of her friends' failures to achieve their goals.

The main character works as a welder in a factory, and at night she dances in the local bar and of course wants to get out of this life, but even here fate favors her as she meets her love (which turned out to be her boss). From that moment on, the girl becomes even more eager to achieve her dreams, and most importantly, she awakens her self-confidence.

The actors did a wonderful job with their roles. Of course, special praise to Jennifer Beals who succeeded in accurately conveying the desire for dance, kindness and naivety of the heroine. She showed her so natural, that you want to be moved, to rejoice and to grieve together with Alex till the last seconds of the movie.

And of course we should mention two wonderful soundtracks - 'What a Feeling' and 'Maniac'. They sum up the whole mood of the movie. Hearing this music you just want to dance and live. It literally transports the viewer into the events on the screen.

The film conveys a lot of energy. It doesn't bore you for a minute, and leaves only good memories.
