Three young high school witches, whom no one can stand in their own school, one day suddenly felt intuitively that a fourth was about to join them. And indeed, when the new girl appears in class and there are four of them, just as the spell says, they can now get even with all the abusers. Spells, snakes, rats, spiders - the sorcerer's foursome keep half the town out of the way, but soon the game of black magic goes too far.

Since about the mid-1990s, witches have been a popular topic in American cinema. Moreover, these witches were not often ugly evil old women. The new generation of American witches - young sexy girls, quite often saving the world from all manifestations of dark forces.

The question itself begs the question - why this way and not another? What is it? And is it possible that in this strange way American filmmakers are trying to apologize for the notorious Salem - a dark spot in American history?

If we look at the film 'Witchcraft' in this very context, the witches do not appear evil at all, but just confused schoolgirls who are trying to solve worldly problems with the help of witchcraft.

The picture, and it is more than obvious, is designed for young people. And that is why it looks not like a horror movie, but like a scary, but quite funny fairy tale. It gets a little creepy towards the end, but in general the movie is presented in a way that does not make you feel like a horror movie.

The fact that the film is intended for a young audience is indicated by the presence in it of a morality which is absolutely pro-Western and has already acquired a nausea. "A man has to achieve everything on his own," she says.

Of course, it's really straightforward and old as the world. However, the film itself is a very entertaining, and most importantly, not boring entertainment, from which you do not get tired. And the actresses as witches are eerily convincing.
