A young man is accused of killing his own father and faces the electric chair. Twelve jurors gather to reach a verdict: guilty or not guilty. The film is set in court.

An 18-year-old boy is on trial for the murder of his own father. Two witnesses firmly and almost completely convince the jury that he is guilty, all the evidence is there, the lawyer is powerless, the prosecution folds like butter, the boy's only alibi is laughable. According to the law, the boy faces the death penalty, but its final confirmation depends on the jury. If all twelve men unanimously decide to send the boy to the electric chair, so be it.

Eleven of them say, 'Guilty! Condemning the boy to certain death. Only one, Henry Fonda, thinks he's innocent... Will he be able to defend his position and convince the eleven angry men of the defendant's innocence, or will he give up? This is the main intrigue of the film!

For almost an hour and a half we will listen to nothing but masterfully written dialogues. Each of the 12 characters on the jury has his own character, his own point of view, his own arguments and his own opinion. None of the 12 are like each other. That's the whole point. One is a worker, the second a watchmaker, the third a salesman, the fourth a broker, the fifth an old man, the sixth an architect, the seventh a salesman, the eighth a teacher, the ninth an office worker, the tenth a construction worker, the eleventh a social worker, the twelfth a simple executioner.

The whole re-examination procedure in progress is shown masterfully by Sidney Lumet. A stuffy room, 12 men in it, sweaty shirts, hot heads, no one wants to waste time on a seemingly already understandable and uninteresting matter, everyone has their own things to do. During the vote, 11 of the men don't even think twice when casting their vote for the verdict: 'Guilty', that they are taking a man's life and only 1, finds clues that confuse him. And he's not even sure the guy is innocent, he doubts it. But. Any doubts? For a final death sentence, doubt is too much, and so let's talk, discuss, and only then decide what the final verdict will be...

From this point on, the viewer, oddly enough, becomes the thirteenth juror. Not a single detail escapes his attention. He can easily follow the actors and each character individually, so perfectly copes with his work the cameraman. This transformation of the viewer into a juror, the film becomes extremely interesting to watch. The viewer is directly involved in the action, thinking along with the characters, making their own conclusions. And throughout the entire film, he sees how skillfully the process of being converted takes place, and at the end he just takes his hat off to the creators and says, "Bravo! That's how skillfully he ends up being re-educated.

'12 Angry Men' is a chamber production, a rare thing that has been nominated for several Academy Awards. It has a great script, great actors, an interesting plot and much more...
