Story Movie

Agnes leads a withdrawn life, she has no friends, she doesn't go to parties. But she has an ex-husband who is in prison and likes to get his hands dirty. Soon the term of his imprisonment expires, and the woman decides to settle in a godforsaken town in Oklahoma to avoid persecution from his side. Soon, however, she begins to be haunted by phone calls, and Agnes decides to seek help from Peter, a Gulf War veteran suffering from paranoia.

Before you start watching, think about what you decided to watch this film for

If you just want to relax, switch off your brain and enjoy the film itself, then don't watch ‘Bug’.
If you see the phrase ‘genre: horror, thriller, drama’ and think of ALL films of that genre and think this will be one of them, then don't watch ‘Bug’.
If someone decides to watch this film with you for company ‘because it says it's scary’, don't watch ‘Bug’ and talk that person out of it!
Well, if you expect to see a film on which you need to think, a film that you need to be aware of, a film in which you need to get into the psychology of the characters, then this film is for you!

REVIEW:

Usually when watching a film, I focus on the story, without paying much attention to the actors' performance. But not every film can survive on that. And ‘Bug’ is a clear example of that. It's a film made entirely on the actors, on their acting! We get into the main characters, we see feel and feel everything that happens to them!

Throughout the film we are given psychological portraits of the two main characters. From the first to the last minute of the film we have the opportunity to observe them, their change! A change due to one external factor - paranoia - simultaneously affecting two minds. And the way this change is shown makes us just stare at the TV screen with open mouth, realising that at this very moment you are watching a masterpiece of a psychological thriller that has ever been filmed!

There are no minuses in the film as such. At least I didn't notice them. The plot develops smoothly from the beginning to the end of the film. Yes and the ending of the film is on a very high level. Probably because it is not spoilt by the ‘surprise effect’, which for some reason has become fashionable of late. All events in the film are presented to the viewer clearly, and rationally!

‘Bug’ is not a film for everyone. Many will not understand it. Many will understand it, but not embrace it. This film will never have a great rating, because the number of people who perceived this film and gave it a decent rating will be less than those who did not appreciate it.

And let my evaluation at least a little bit, but raise this film in the rating of films of my favourite genre ‘Psychological Thriller’
