But, if you look at the advertising campaign of this film, which is impossible, because it is simply not available, then you should think about how the film expects to at least pay off if only the most inveterate movie fan knows about its start in the movie

It is rare to find a film that begins as a family drama, continues as a carefree road movie, and ends on a sci-fi note. Alas, Kin 2160p bluray movie, despite a similar technique of mixing genres, is a real mess - tonal shifts are perceived rather irritably. The Baker brothers and co-directors quickly lose control of their history: overall, Kin looks painfully boring with rare patches of cartoon-like stupid moments, and when the project does have a positive effect on the viewer, this is not for the reasons the creators intended. In other words, to summarize the impressions of Kin 4k, then in television format the tape could be a good start for a good series about alienated brothers on the run. In the full-length version, there is hardly anything in the film that is more substantial than the free fantasy about a black boy who has found a laser gun.

Kin UHD tells of one unfortunate working-class family somewhere in the backyards of America: Hal's single father has two sons. 14-year-old black Elijah - adopted son. The native son by the name of Jimmy is released from prison. The script spends a lot of time studying the problems of the family, recreating the connections between the characters, which could be really interesting if this aspect were really viewed from a dramatic point of view, and not as a plot link. It soon becomes clear that Jimmy owes money to local gangsters, which is why the brothers flee and go on a road trip.

The second act is opposite in spirit to the first. Jimmy and Elijah travel across the country, grab the most chaste stripper in cinema history along the way, and she accompanies the brothers. The boy also knows the power of alien technology in the form of some kind of laser gun, which the young man found in an abandoned warehouse. When he first activates it, not only bandits but also owners of mysterious weapons begin to hunt for the team.

As soon as the Kin script tries to develop its characters or focus on their inner world, the film immediately becomes incredibly dim. Heroes seem to be woven from conventions and contradictions. Jimmy is a hot daredevil who refuses to take responsibility for his actions, but naturally, as the plot moves, he will come to know the concept of sympathy. Elijah is a good child who has not committed serious crimes, which does not prevent him from shooting bandits from his wunderwaffe without the slightest remorse. The lack of psychological depth in the brothers is a disappointing factor, since the script spends a lot of time trying to convince the viewer precisely in the family-dramatic component of the plot.
