Returning home from a long business trip, Mark discovered that during his absence he had become a completely stranger to his wife Anna. He decides to find out the whole truth. The film was impressive. From the very beginning you realize that you are watching something non-standard. Everything seems to be simple, but interesting to watch. Largely thanks to the acting. She's impressive. It feels like you're not watching a movie, but a theatrical performance. There is a feeling that all the key figures in the picture are really moved. Very reliable.

The film is NOT American. Somehow I didn’t look at the country before watching, but from the city buildings and the furnishings of the apartments I realized that the cinema was not from America. And so it turned out: Germany, France.

Isabelle Adjani's performance is a separate story. She's just amazing. At a key moment in the film, during a scene in the subway passage, I just opened my mouth (literally) and watched. How she played! Incredible scene. But, again, the performance of all the actors is excellent.

Anna's monologues. When the camera is aimed at the face and the actor (talented actor) reads an emotional speech, it is always interesting and attractive. From the modern day, I remember it was in Mayak. There were several such moments, they were long, rich in vocabulary and high quality. There are fewer monologues here (one, if full), but they are also good.

Scene in the subway passage. It's ... hard to forget. It was unexpected and amazed very strongly. Simply brilliant.

Scene in the church. I don't know what to say ... But I could not mark it, as well as the scene in the transition. These are the two best moments in the film.

The reasons for the actions of her husband, Mark. It's hard to say anything here. On the one hand, his behavior in the second part of the film is impressive, on the other, it is even more impressive. The difficulty lies elsewhere: this is both the main character and the main anti-hero, in my opinion. You both sympathize with him, and at the same time you do not sympathize. Very difficult. Loving the possessed is difficult, and getting her favor ... even harder.

With Anna, everything is easier with her: she is simply insane. And the actress is just great.

The ending didn't make me happy. Mysticism. A more realistic ending would have liked more.
