An unusual pastime is gaining popularity among teenagers in a small Australian town. It is necessary to light a candle, shake a creepy ceramic hand, say "Talk to me" - and then you can see the ghost and even briefly let him into yourself. Despite the fact that the previous owner of the artifact committed suicide, the guys at parties happily indulge in the unusual abilities of the hand, until one of the summoned ghosts turns out to be the mother of 17-year-old Mia, who died two years ago.

Mia, a young girl who recently lost her mother, is going through a difficult time. Neither her father's care, nor her friends, nor her ex-boyfriend can get her out of her depression. However, to press on somehow necessary? And in an attempt to unwind, Mia decides to attend a teenage party where the guys decide to play "spirit summoning". Oh, if only Mia knew how it would end.....

It would seem that the theme of summoning and confronting spirits in the movie may well be closed. Numerous hits of different times, such as "The Others", "Ouiji Devil's Board", "Astral", "Drag me to hell" - at one time significantly tickled the nerves of viewers. But despite this, still from year to year there are activists-filmmakers who "reincarnate" this theme and allow fans of "spiritualistic sessions" again and again to return to their fears.

Australian horror movie "Talk to Me" unexpectedly for me did not become another passable horror movie, but really managed to appeal to the most subtle matter of the soul. It's strange to say that about a horror movie, but the movie is actually incredibly layered. While most horror movies of this type are about spirits nightmare people, this movie is about the fact that the real demons are not half-decomposed corpses from the other side of the world, but in fact the most severe demons sit inside of us and only our personal fears can cause them "from the other side of the world".

It is the "psychologically traumatizing" nature of the protagonist and became the catalyst for the troubles that fell on the head of the participants of that "spiritualist séance". Mia's desire to get an answer to the troubling questions about the death of her mother and allowed the "predators from the other world" to arrange what was shown in the movie. Yes, I would like to discuss some of the points more specifically, but I'm afraid to reveal spoilers. I want to say one thing: the multilayered nature of the movie allows you not just to enjoy the next "screemers" (which are incredibly impressive here), but also to think about how our sometimes unnecessary experiences can serve as a psychological breakdown in the future.

In the end, after watching the movie, I can say that the point of the movie is to explain that when you have psychological problems, it's always important to talk and discuss problems with those around you, those who love you and not to shut yourself off from loved ones and fall into a corkscrew of depression.

"Talk to Me" - is a gripping and fascinating psychological expierience that takes apart examples of personal tragedies of people suffering from psychological problems on their fingers. Yes - it's a cool horror movie in the fullest sense of the word with its colorful characters, frightening monsters and incredibly creepy scenes. However, in the complex turned out to be a healthy movie, which will be interesting to watch not only "gygygygakaluyu audience", but also quite intelligent and sensible moviegoers who are always eager for adventure in the movies, even if it is a horror movie.
